After stalking the people at Paragon and EMS all week, I decided on the Osprey Waypoint backpack. I had to settle with the black, since there's only 1 brand that makes a pack in a color that resembles pink, but it wasn't recommended. I'll live.
This bag is designed for girls, and has the detachable mini-backpack which will be great when I'm in Patagonia doing lots of day hikes.
I also got the quick drying towels and some other things on the list, and once the bag comes I can start to pack it! Also, I am now a lifetime REI member. Hooray!
